The Gen Gate List info

No ship. No slash. No trolls. No destructive agendas. SG-1 fanfiction and discussion. Team oriented.

The purpose of this list is not to further divide an already divided fandom. Everyone over 18 is welcome, even if you prefer ship or slash. A lot of fans like all genres. But there seems to be a tendency for gen fans to lurk more often than not. So as an experiment only, we're going to see if we can develop a safe place for Gen fans to share their thoughts and fan fiction. If this takes off, we might move to a forum situation.

The philosophy is similar to Tok'ra Flats. We love and respect the whole team. Jack was not born to make Daniel's life a living hell. Daniel respects Jack. Sam and Teal'c are not trying to come between Jack and Daniel. No flames directed to the characters, actors, or list sibs.

rules

List rules.

Tolerance is required.

Treat each other with respect.

We support the whole team.

We support the actors.

We support each other.

We do not disrespect the characters or the actors.

We have no hidden agendas, i.e., we are not out to convince each other that Jack and Daniel hate each other, or that Sam and Jack are madly in love, therefore evil Danny must go- or vice versa- or any combination you might come up with.

We do not promote any type of team division.

We do not allow flames or trolls.

We do not disrespect our fellow fans. Just because some folks like ship or love slash, does not make them evil or wrong. Some of us like all genres. We are not here to criticize others. This list has simply been created as an attempt to bring more gen fans out in the open. In other words, I do not want to hear that ALL shippers are evil to Danny or slashers are evil and immoral.
