by Tamy,
Daniel looked back at the two women, sparing a sidelong glance at Jack. Everyone was sleeping, Janet was even starting to snore a little. With a sigh, he turned, trying to figure out where he could go, who would possibly be able to help him at this point. Sam was the only one he could even remotely think of, and she wouldn't even be awake for awhile.
Daniel wandered around the infirmary. He really wasn't comfortable getting to far from Sam or Janet yet. He was greeted by complete, overwhelming silence. He wandered around, seeing a few nurses, a couple of the other doctor's. It just wasn't right without Janet awake.
Looking around, Janet's office was back down the hall and around a corner. Steeling himself, he hunched his shoulders, ducking his head and just....walked straight through a wall, through a filing cabinet, and came to a stop again at Janet's desk.
He stopped, shook himself. That wasn't bad. A little weird, but not bad. Looking back up and around, he felt a comforting wave go through him at the site of Janet's desk, chair, the afghan she kept for nights she slept here. Looking at her desk, Daniel noticed pages out of place. Janet was normally as neat as Sam. The two were impossible sometimes. He smiled a little at a flashing thought.....
****** "Daniel" , God, Stereo yelling. No one told him- he never thought of... Man, 2 of them yelling at him. All because he tossed his shirt on the floor. The floor, fer crying out loud! They were dirty clothes. Not like he tracked dirt into the house (He'd never do that again, either).
He turned back at a snort from the bed. The two women were curled around each other in the bed. Laughing so hard their faces were red. He stood there, stammering, no words, just tossing his hands around. Sam took pity on him, reaching out to grab at one of his flailing hands, she yanked him towards the bed. His knees hit the edge, sending him toppling into a heap between both women.

Blinking, Daniel brought himself back to the present. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Looking up, Daniel glanced around. A little unsure for a moment where he was. A half sad, half wistful smile, came to his face, he realized he was only one corridor off from Sam's quarters. Slowly he walked down the corridor and stopped at her door. Glancing around shyly, he caught himself- no one could see him!
Shrugging he walked through the door "still getting used to that", he murmured.
Peering around, it didn't take long to realize no one was there. Sam's bed was made- perfectly, of course. A small light was on. Sam's quarters looked like no one had ever been there. Almost. Except for the couple of photos Sam kept here on base. One of Cassie, another of Sam, himself and Janet taken at a party, one of her dad, one of the whole team, with Janet and the General, of course. Glancing at the one of the 3 of them again, he had to snicker at the memory. They were sitting together making plans for the weekend, when Teal'c -with Jack's camera- came up and told them to say "Solidified Milk". All 3 were laughing when they realized he meant Cheese.
"Man, you could drown in the eyes of those two" he muttered. Reaching out to touch the faces in the photo, his hand went straight through it.
With a surge of frustrated anger, he turned and quickly ran out of the room. He just wanted to feel something.
Now, he was really at a loss. Where to go? Jack wandered off. No interest in going much of anywhere else. Maybe the Med center. He was sure Janet would still be there. She always stayed late when there was trouble with any of the teams. Maybe Sam would be with her. He could see them both. Damn, but this just "seeing things" was hard. He wanted to actually *touch* something. Or someone. Taste something, or some...one... Shaking his head "don't go there. Not yet".
End Part 2
Ghost part Daniel wandered the halls of the SG complex. He had no specific idea of where he was going.
"I wonder what Ghosts do for fun?" the rather bizarre thought popped into his head.
Ghost....infected? What was it that he was, exactly? Sam could tell him, he was sure. He might get her to explain it in words Jack could even understand. He stopped short at the sharp, gut wrenching pain he got at the thought of Sam. Closing his eyes for a moment, he took a deep breath. She wasn't alone right now, at least. He hoped.
Some thought's on how D feels about what he sees with S/Jn in his bed. Maybe some more memories/flashbacks.
